New Zealand's Under-23 rowing trials at Lake Karāpiro run from 15 to 20 June 2026, with athletes required to arrive on the afternoon of 14 June. Accommodation is provided for those who need it, though athletes must arrange their own transport.

Three women have been invited: Emma Bagrie (Star Boating Club/Stanford University), Harriet Thompson (Dunstan Arm Rowing Club/Washington State University), and Madeline Cox (Aramoho Whanganui Rowing Club/University of California, Berkeley).

Seven men have been named across a range of clubs and American universities. Returning athletes are Dylan McConnell (Waikato Rowing Club/University of Pennsylvania), Nicholas Bryan (West End Rowing Club/Syracuse University), Oliver Leach (Auckland Rowing Club/University of Washington), and Sam Woodgate (Avon Rowing Club/Harvard University).

Joining them as new additions are Alex Logan (North Shore Rowing Club/University of Pennsylvania), and Avon Rowing Club pair Edward Botherway and Luke Hickling, both rowing for Northeastern University.

The two coxswain spots go to Hunter Rowland (Waikato Rowing Club) and Oliver Duncan (Waikato Rowing Club/Lincoln University), with Duncan a new addition to the squad.

Athletes new to the list must confirm their acceptance by email to Lisa Holton at lisa@rowingnz.kiwi no later than Monday 18 May 2026.
