Sky Italia and its streaming platform NOW have secured broadcast rights across the entire America's Cup competition in Italy, covering every event from the Preliminary Regattas in Sardinia through to the Louis Vuitton 38th America's Cup Match in Naples in July 2027.

The 'Road to Naples' kicks off with the first Preliminary Regatta, scheduled for Sardinian waters from 21 to 24 May 2026. Sky Italia and NOW will carry every event from that opening contest through the Louis Vuitton Cup Challenger Selection Series, concluding with the Louis Vuitton 38th America's Cup Match itself, which gets under way on 10 July 2027. Italy will host that final match for the first time, with Naples readying itself to welcome the global sailing community to its coastline.

Sky Italia's involvement marks a return to broadcasting what is shaping up to be one of the most significant America's Cup editions of the modern era. Alongside the main competition, the broadcaster will also cover the Women's America's Cup and the Youth America's Cup, both scheduled for June 2027.

Giuseppe De Bellis, EVP Sport, News and Entertainment di Sky Italia, spoke to what the occasion means for the network: "The America's Cup returns to Sky's Home of Sport, and this time it makes history: for the first time, the most iconic trophy in world sailing arrives in Italy, in Naples. After the excitement of the 2021 and 2024 editions, we are proud to guide the viewers through an event that brings together innovation, excitement, and great sporting tradition. It will also be an extraordinary opportunity to showcase to the world the beauty and uniqueness of the Gulf of Naples. Sky will tell the story of every challenge with the quality, passion, and narrative flair that have always defined major sporting events, taking viewers right into the wind, the technology, and the adrenaline of a competition unlike any other in the world."

Marzio Perrelli, Chief Executive Officer of the America's Cup Partnership, welcomed the deal: "All around the America's Cup we can feel the excitement building on the 'Road to Naples' and with the first Prelim Regatta beginning in Sardinia on the 21st May, we are delighted to have concluded the arrangement with Sky Italia to broadcast all the events leading up to and including the Match. With first-class production values and commentary, Sky Sport in Italy is the gold-standard in sports broadcasting, and I am excited to see the overall production of what is set to be one of the greatest America's Cup regattas in the event's 175-year history."
Grant Dalton, Chairman of the America's Cup Partnership, reflected on what the Italian venue means for the event's standing worldwide: "It is so encouraging to see the reaction from broadcasters around the world about the America's Cup coming to Italy. It will be a stand-out regatta and a major event for the beautiful City of Naples. Sky Italia do an incredible job across such a wide waterfront of sports, and their involvement with the America's Cup will elevate the event across Italy."
