Sail Racing stays on as Tudor Team Alinghi clothing partner for AC38

1 min read

Tudor Team Alinghi and Sail Racing have confirmed their partnership will carry forward into the 38th America's Cup campaign, with the Swedish technical apparel brand continuing in its role as the team's Official Clothing Supplier.

The relationship between the two organisations took shape during AC37 in Barcelona, and that shared experience has given both parties a clear foundation to build on. Sail Racing specialises in technical performance clothing, which makes them a natural match for a programme whose demands stretch from the physical rigours of on-water racing to the precise, methodical work carried out by the shore crew. The renewed arrangement reflects a mutual commitment to innovation and technical excellence, with Sail Racing producing purpose-designed apparel intended to support performance across every facet of the campaign.

The timing of the announcement is no accident. Tudor Team Alinghi is on the verge of returning to competitive racing, with the first Preliminary Regatta for the Louis Vuitton 38th America's Cup set to take place in Cagliari, Sardinia from 21 to 24 May. The team has been training in Cagliari this week ahead of that event, where competitors will race the one-design AC40s as a fleet.

The four-day programme begins on Thursday 21 May with an Official Practice Day and Opening Ceremony. Fleet racing then gets underway on Friday 22 May and Saturday 23 May, with races starting from 15:00 CEST and all boats going off together. Sunday 24 May features two final fleet races before the regatta concludes with a winner-takes-all match race final contested between the two highest-scoring teams.
