New Sole Advance SK-80 engine makes world debut in Southampton

2 min read

Engines Plus will give the Solé Advance SK-80 marine engine its first public showing anywhere in the world at the Southampton International Boat Show 2026.

The SK-80 will be on Stand P136 when the show runs from 18th to 27th September 2026. It is a Kubota-based four-cylinder marine engine producing 76hp at 2,700rpm, described by Solé Advance as "compact power for new horizons".

Designed particularly for medium-sized sailing boats and professional fishing vessels, the SK-80 adds a new option to the Solé Advance range for owners and boatbuilders looking for a compact, dependable power solution.

Jaume Colillas, Export Sales Manager at Solé Advance, will join the Engines Plus team on Tuesday 22nd and Wednesday 23rd September. He will be on hand to discuss the SK-80 and the wider Solé Advance range, and to answer technical questions from customers, dealers and industry professionals.

Alongside Solé Advance, Engines Plus will also show the latest range from Selva Marine, including outboard engines the company says are built for performance, reliability and value across a wide variety of boating applications.

"We're excited to be returning to the Southampton International Boat Show with two fantastic brands, and particularly to be giving visitors the first opportunity anywhere in the world to see the Solé Advance SK-80 at a boat show," said Hedley Beavis, Managing Director at Engines Plus.

"It's a significant new addition to the Solé Advance range, and Southampton gives customers the chance to see the engine up close and speak directly with the manufacturer about the SK-80 and the latest developments across the range. Having Jaume Colillas with us during the show will also give visitors the opportunity to discuss the engine and its applications directly with Solé Advance."

Visitors can meet the Engines Plus team on Stand P136 throughout the show to explore the Solé Advance and Selva ranges, and to discuss repowers, new installations and the right engine for their boat.
