Princess Yachts has unveiled the X90 at the Cannes Yachting Festival 2026, the latest addition to its X Class range positioned between the X80 and flagship X95 Vista.
The new model headlines an eight-yacht line-up at Cannes, where it is among almost 120 world premieres at the festival overall. The X90 introduces several firsts for the yard, most notably fold-down balconies to port and starboard of the cockpit—creating an expandable beach club-style space that Princess says dramatically increases usable outdoor area.
The balconies build on the infinity cockpit concept first seen on the Y85 and Y80, paired with a glass transom balustrade and low-level cockpit arrangement for uninterrupted 180-degree views. A starboard wet bar, optional cockpit television and shaded seating complete the entertaining space.
Curved patio doors connecting the cockpit to the main deck dining area are another Princess first. The ten-person dining table becomes part of a single flowing space when opened; when closed, the curved glass preserves sightlines to the water.
The X90 relocates the primary helm to an enclosed flybridge wheelhouse and Skylounge, freeing main deck volume for more expansive living accommodation. The Skylounge offers panoramic glazing and an optional 85-inch television, while the aft flybridge can be configured with spa bath, bar, loose furniture or tender storage.
A defining feature carried from the X95 is the single-level main deck from forward cockpit through to the owner's suite. The forward owner's stateroom features 180-degree views and an optional gullwing door opening to a private foredeck terrace.
Below deck, three en-suite guest cabins are standard, with a five-cabin option available. Crew accommodation forward includes up to three cabins, bathroom and dedicated mess.
The X90 introduces Princess's new Hybrid Progressive-Planing hull, developed with Bernard Olesinski Limited. The yard claims approximately 10 per cent lower power requirements above 16 knots compared with the Y85 at normalised displacement, with comparable fuel consumption below 10 knots despite the X90 being roughly 18 tonnes heavier.
