Superyacht owners planning to follow the next America's Cup now have a formal way to secure their spot in Naples, with BWA Yachting opening berth reservations for the Louis Vuitton 38th America's Cup, set to be held in the Italian city in spring or summer 2027.
The booking process covers Naples and the wider region, giving owners, captains and their representatives a single point of contact rather than a scattering of individual marina enquiries.
Before any of that, though, there's a warm-up. The Louis Vuitton 38th America's Cup Preliminary Regatta runs from 24 to 27 September, bringing racing to the Gulf of Naples for the first time. It's a preview of what's to come, both for the sailing teams and for the superyacht logistics that will need to scale up considerably by 2027.
BWA Yachting holds the role of Official Superyacht Programme Delivery Partner for the Cup, making it the exclusive handler of berth bookings for the event. Every 2027 request runs through the one system, with one operational contact managing the process from there. The company delivered similar programmes in Bermuda and Barcelona for previous editions, and it's now applying that experience to Naples.
Berths are open across a preferred marina network that currently includes New Marina di Bagnoli, Marina Molo Luise, Stabia Main Port, Marina di Stabia, Sud Cantieri in Pozzuoli, Marina di Capri, Marina di Arechi in Salerno, and Marina di Procida.
New Marina di Bagnoli is still under development. It forms part of the wider waterfront regeneration tied to the America's Cup, and organisers expect it to become a key hub once 2027 arrives. Several additional marinas are finalising their participation, with further additions to be announced as the network expands.
Each booking is assessed on its own merits. Yacht length overall, draft, operational needs, arrival and departure timing, and berth availability across the preferred marina network all factor into where a vessel ends up.
Securing a berth is just the starting point. From there, BWA Yachting coordinates registration of yacht specifications and operational requirements, checks availability across the marina network, puts forward berth proposals matched to the vessel's characteristics, and manages pre-arrival operational coordination, all through the one point of contact.
New for Naples 2027, yachts joining the Official Superyacht Programme will do so through a dedicated membership. That gives owners and invited guests access to a curated calendar of hospitality, social occasions and exclusive experiences built around the racing schedule, extending the experience well beyond the racecourse itself.
With the action unfolding across the Gulf of Naples, the emphasis is on bringing participating yachts into the heart of the America's Cup atmosphere, with Naples and its extraordinary surroundings as the backdrop.
