Beneteau's newest Oceanis and First models eye British award

1 min read

Two of Beneteau's newest yachts, the Oceanis 52 and the First 60, have been nominated for the British Yachting Awards 2026, putting both boats in the running for recognition from the UK boating industry and sailing public.

The Oceanis 52 marks the start of the eighth generation of Beneteau's long-running Oceanis range. Designed by Biscontini Yacht Design and Nauta Design, the yacht is built around what Beneteau describes as a true sanctuary of peace at sea. Its cockpit offers 30 percent more space than the previous model, paired with a refined interior layout aimed at redefining comfort for cruising sailors wanting to explore further afield in safety and comfort.

The First 60 is the largest First model Beneteau has ever built. Also designed by Biscontini Yacht Design, this time alongside Lorenzo Argento, it pairs a streamlined hull with an ergonomic deck layout centred on a centralised Winch Island station. Below decks, the First 60 offers a spacious and refined layout, with the design brief focused on enhancing life aboard at sea. Beneteau positions the yacht as a combination of performance, easy handling, and the comforts expected of a larger vessel.

Both boats are open for public voting as part of the British Yachting Awards 2026, and will be on display at this autumn's boat shows.
