Sean Herbert has claimed the Barfoot & Thompson Male Sailor of the Year award after delivering one of the most productive seasons of his young career.
The 23-year-old Auckland wingfoiler made his mark on the international stage with a bronze medal at the Formula Wing World Championship in Sardinia, then backed that up with another bronze at his World Cup debut in Switzerland. Herbert was equally strong on the domestic front, winning the US Wingfoil Championships, defending his national title, and claiming both the national Triple Crown and Hawaii State titles.
