A new one-day conference dedicated to superyacht infrastructure will debut at Metstrade in Amsterdam on Wednesday 18 November 2026. SuperYacht Times and Marina World have announced the Yacht Infrastructure Summit, organised in partnership with Safe Harbor.
The summit will bring together investors, marina developers, designers, owners, suppliers, operators and senior decision-makers from across the yacht infrastructure sector. Programme topics will cover marina and refit development, investment, operational performance, energy, technology, customer experience and the infrastructure gaps that could restrict the industry's future growth.
The event sits alongside Metstrade's Marina & Yard Pavilion, which is moving to a new and larger location for the 2026 edition. The summit will be organised in close proximity to the pavilion, allowing delegates to combine the conference programme with meetings, networking and exhibitor visits throughout the day.
Merijn de Waard, Founder and CEO of SuperYacht Times, said: "Yachts are becoming larger and more sophisticated, but the infrastructure supporting them does not always develop at the same pace. Together with Safe Harbor and Metstrade, we want to bring the right people into one room to discuss where investment is needed and what the next generation of yacht infrastructure should look like."
Baxter Underwood, CEO of Safe Harbor, said: "Yacht infrastructure improvement is a central objective of all our efforts. We are excited about the YIS. It presents an opportunity to partner with industry leaders to advance the paradigm of possibility."
Niels Klarenbeek, Director RAI Marine Technology Events, said: "The Yacht Infrastructure Summit (YIS) further underscores Metstrade's prominent position as the global meeting point and commercial hub for professionals in marinas, yards and the wider leisure marine industry. Together with the Marina & Yard Zone, which brings the latest products and solutions to a prominent new location in Hall 9, YIS creates a powerful hub for infrastructure stakeholders and an even more valuable experience for marina professionals attending Metstrade. We are proud to host this dedicated platform to help drive forward innovation and investment in recreational boating infrastructure."
SuperYacht Times is a media partner of both Metstrade and The Superyacht Forum, while Marina World is also a media partner of Metstrade. Both will have a stand at the show. Further details on the programme, speakers and registration are expected to be announced shortly.
