Angola Westbrook Racing wins back-to-back in Dubrovnik to lead E1 title race by 12 points

Angola Westbrook Racing's Sara Price and Lucas Ordóñez have delivered back-to-back Grand Prix wins at the E1 Dubrovnik GP 2026, extending the team's lead at the top of the Championship standings.

Few sporting venues carry the drama of Dubrovnik. The UNESCO World Heritage-listed old town has drawn crowds to E1's Adriatic rounds since the series first arrived on the Dalmatian Coast, and Round 3 more than upheld that reputation. Spectators packed the ancient stone walls and harbourfront, watching the RaceBirds work the water below against a backdrop no other motorsport series can match.

Team owner Will Smith was joined on the Dalmatian Coast by NBA stars LeBron James and Kyle Kuzma, as well as tennis legend Rafael Nadal, the kind of gathering that has become a recognisable part of E1's race weekends.

Westbrook had announced their intentions before a single race was run, topping qualifying for the first time in the team's history. Ordóñez described a day of shifting conditions that settled beautifully by evening, his final qualifying run arriving as the sun dropped over the old town walls. Three points were added to Westbrook's tally before racing had even begun.

Race day brought high winds and a genuine examination of every team through the group stages and into the Finals. Westbrook dominated their group to advance straight to the Finals. Team Brady's Emma Kimiläinen and Sam Coleman both topped their respective groups to join them.

The day's sharpest blow fell on Team Drogba Global Africa. New Zealander Micah Wilkinson had topped his group stage race outright, only for the team to be disqualified from the Finals after teammate Tara Pacheco, a four-time Spanish Olympian and world champion sailor, was penalised for dangerous driving.

Team Brady struck first in Final 1. Kimiläinen got the jump at the start, reached the first corner ahead of Ordóñez, and made it stick. The momentum shifted in Final 2 when Team Miami's Timmy Hansen hit a significant wave that detached the nose of his RaceBird, bringing out the red flags and ending his race on the spot. When racing resumed, Ordóñez found the speed that had been lurking all weekend, crossed the line first, and secured the overall victory for Westbrook.

Team Rafa's Tom Chiappe earned the PIF Pilot of the Day award after guiding the team through a tight Race Off to reach the Finals, translating that into a fourth-place finish alongside co-pilot Cris Lazarraga.

Ordóñez kept it straightforward afterwards, saying the result proved the team could handle pressure and difficult conditions. Price spoke about momentum and the belief that they could sustain it. In the team owner group chat, Smith wrote: "YES! Finally ahead of you, Brady."

Kiwi Wilkinson claims Hublot Fastest Lap

The disqualification ended the team's Finals campaign, but the New Zealand foiling Olympian left Dubrovnik with something concrete. Wilkinson's lap of 1:27.571 during the Final 2 session was the fastest recorded all session, earning him the Hublot Fastest Lap award.

His best second sector of 28.150 seconds was quicker than any other competitor managed across that phase of racing, and his overall time finished 2.271 seconds clear of Westbrook in second.

A tightening title fight

Westbrook now sit on 101 points, having won two of three rounds. Brady are 12 points back on 89. The more significant shift belongs to Aoki Racing Team, who had led the standings after Jeddah and arrived in Dubrovnik third overall. A sixth-place finish dropped them to fourth on 59 points, with AlUla now sitting third on 70 and looking increasingly like the most consistent challenger outside the top two. Monaco is next, and as Brady put it, the race is still very much on.
