Toby Wigglesworth has taken under-19 bronze and finished seventh overall at the Formula Kite Youth European Championships in Gizzeria, Italy, continuing his steady rise through the international ranks.
Racing on the Gulf of Sant'Eufemia over four days of strong thermal breeze, Wigglesworth was consistent throughout 14 races, recording nine top-six finishes and slipping outside the top 10 on just two occasions.

The under-19 podium placed him behind Switzerland's Karl Maeder and Poland's Marcel Stępniewski. In the overall Youth Men's fleet, France's Nell De Jaham claimed the European title after a tight contest with Poland's Jan Koszowski and Maeder.
The result builds on a strong run of form for the young Aucklander. He won silver at last year's World Sailing Youth World Championships in Vilamoura, part of a breakthrough regatta that delivered New Zealand's first medals at the event since 2022.
