Electric powerboat racing returns to Monaco this weekend, with Will Smith's Westbrook Racing by Visit Angola looking to extend their grip on the UIM E1 World Championship presented by PIF.
The team heads into the Monaco round on the back of back-to-back victories at Lake Como and Dubrovnik, and currently leads the standings with just 12 points separating them from reigning champions Team Brady. Team AlUla, backed by LeBron James, sits a further 19 points adrift.
It's a home race for Team Monaco, one of the newest additions to the E1 grid. The team is piloted by 11-time kitesurfing French World Champion Maxime Nocher alongside Brit Oban Duncan, and they'll be looking to make their mark on Port Hercule in front of the Principality's family, friends and fans.
There's a redemption story to watch, too. French pilot Tom Chiappe suffered a dramatic qualifying crash at this event last year and returns for Team Rafa alongside Spanish teammate Cris Lazarraga. Led by tennis star Rafael Nadal, the team sits sixth on 35 points and is determined to make up ground in the Championship.
Will Smith and Kyle Kuzma are expected to be in attendance to watch their rival teams compete on the water.
The Monaco race marks the Championship's third visit to the Principality and is a key fixture of the 2026 season.
