Eleven athletes have been named to the Pre-High Performance tier of the Summer Performance Hub for the 2026-27 rowing season, with Waikato Rowing Club the standout feeder club in the group.
Laura Feinson, Sasha Robinson, Tegan O'Dwyer, Charles Beale, Mathew King, and Ryan Gass all come through Waikato, several of them combining their club programme with university training at Waikato or Otago.

Hannah Matehaere joins the cohort via Otago University Rowing Club. Madison Neale is named through Clifton Rowing Club alongside a University of Otago connection, as is Clayton Potts. Jack Pearson represents Dunstan Arm Rowing Club, also linked to Otago. Mackenzie Tuffin, listed through Star Boating Club, is currently based at Syracuse University in the United States.
Not everyone eligible has opted in. Rowing NZ has noted that some New Zealand-based members of the 2026 U23 team have chosen not to train at the Hub due to other commitments and are therefore not eligible for selection at the Pre-High Performance level of the RNZ Pathway.
The full Pathway cohort, including the Emerging and Identification level lists, will be confirmed by 25 August.
