Boot Düsseldorf is shaping up as a significant moment for electric marine propulsion, with ePropulsion systems appearing across multiple boat launches at the show, spanning compact day cruisers through to large luxury yachts.
Two international debuts in particular illustrate the range of what electric propulsion can now deliver.
The ESEA F800, making its debut at the show, is a fully electric day cruiser built from the outset around the ePropulsion P20 electric rotatable POD drive. The P20 is a fully steerable system, and its integration into the hull improves hydrodynamic efficiency while giving the boat sharp, precise handling in confined spaces. Because the entire propulsion unit rotates to direct thrust exactly where it is needed, low-speed control and docking are considerably more intuitive than with a conventional fixed drive.
At the other end of the scale, the Wia 520 HardTop is also launching internationally at boot Düsseldorf, described as one of the largest fully electric yachts currently on the market. Developed in collaboration with ePropulsion, the yacht's propulsion system is engineered for long-duration, zero-emission cruising, with 8-12 hours of continuous operation available after a standard overnight marina charge.

Beyond the two headline launches, ePropulsion systems are powering a wider selection of electric and hybrid boats across the exhibition. The ePropulsion team will be based in Hall 10, Stand D42, with the ESEA F800 in Hall 4, Stand E04, and the Wia 520 HardTop in Hall 1, Stand B90.
