K-Challenge, France's challenger for the 38th Louis Vuitton America's Cup, has opened applications for a team base manager to support its campaign ahead of the regatta set for Naples, Italy, in spring and summer 2027. The role is available immediately and runs on a fixed-term contract through to the end of August 2027.
The core focus of the position is keeping all installed infrastructure fully operational so the team can work under the best possible conditions throughout the campaign. Responsibilities are broad and hands-on: building and overseeing infrastructure, carrying out maintenance and repairs across plumbing, electrical, and carpentry disciplines, and managing deliveries to the base. The successful candidate will also support the technical team during on-site operations, help source required items from local businesses, and coordinate tech base supplier operations. The ability to operate a fixed crane would be an added advantage.
K-Challenge is looking for a versatile, practically minded technician with a genuine problem-solving attitude and good team spirit. Conversational English is required, and any proficiency in French or Italian would be a bonus. A forklift operator certificate and a current driving licence are compulsory, while additional permits, including a motor yacht driving licence, are viewed favourably. Those with backgrounds in the event or nautical industries are especially encouraged to apply. Adaptability and flexibility are key qualities for the role.
The position is full-time on a fixed-term contract, with the rate of pay dependent on experience. The role will be based in Lorient through spring and summer 2026 before moving to a full-time placement in Naples, Italy.
Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis, with the team organising interviews as submissions are received. Candidates should send a CV and all relevant supporting information, including their availability, by email.
