The 2026 Hydroplane Racing League season came to a close at the Regates de Beauharnois, the circuit's final event of the year, in a weekend that swung from brilliant sunshine to washout within twenty-four hours.
More than 65 boats took to the water across six classes: Novice, Formula R, Formula F, Hydro 350, Pro Hydro and Grand Prix.
Saturday delivered fine weather and thrilling battles on the water. Sunday told a different story. Heavy rain forced organisers to cancel the Grand Prix final outright, and the Novice class was unable to compete in any of its scheduled races after officials deemed the conditions unsafe for that type of boat.
Even with the disruption, racing fans still got a weekend packed with speed and excitement.

Aside from the Grand Prix final, the entire race programme at Beauharnois was completed as planned. The HRL will officially confirm the 2026 season champions in the coming days, once inspections have been completed.
