Seago's ecodry WiFi Plus brings smartphone control to a job most boat owners would rather not think about: keeping damp and mould at bay while a boat sits unattended.
The desiccant dehumidifier, built for boats, yachts and caravans, pairs with an app that gives full remote access to humidity control, operating modes, timers and scheduling, wherever the boat happens to be berthed. Once the desired humidity level is dialled in, the ecodry runs fully automatically.
A clear digital display allows at-a-glance status checks, while an auto-restart function returns the unit to its previous settings after a power cut, useful for anyone who can't get to the marina every time the power trips.
The manufacturer highlights three standout features. Continuous drain operation lets the unit run unattended while holding stable humidity levels. Auto-restart brings it back online automatically after a power failure. And a three-stage automatic vent oscillation spreads warm air across a 120-degree range.
The specifications are compact, as befits a boat-sized appliance. It's WiFi controllable via the app, has a maximum capacity of seven litres per day, and runs at 37-49dB. A continuous drain hose is included, and the louvre directs airflow automatically.
With a working range of 1°C to 40°C, and dimensions of 6kg and 487 x 320 x 200mm, it's light and small enough to tuck into a lazarette or cabin locker, out of the way but ready to run whenever it's needed.
