Sessa Marine F48 flybridge yacht available in NZ from $2.55m

3 min read

Italy's Sessa Marine has long built its reputation on precision construction and uncompromising material quality. Its latest release, the F48, marks a significant expansion of the brand's Flybridge range and signals a fresh direction in how the company approaches life aboard a yacht.

At 48 feet, the F48 is built to serve both the committed mariner and the relaxed weekend cruiser. It accommodates up to 16 passengers during the day and provides overnight berths for six, giving it genuine versatility across short coastal hops and longer offshore passages.

The design philosophy behind the F48 centres on symmetry, both inside and out. That symmetry does more than satisfy the eye; it shapes how space is perceived and how movement flows through the vessel. The cockpit has been enlarged so that it transitions naturally into the saloon, removing the hard boundary between outdoor and indoor living. Natural colour palettes and premium materials throughout produce an interior that feels open and luminous rather than enclosed.

Elevated outdoor living

The flybridge is one of the F48's most considered spaces. A bar cabinet, a generous sunbathing area, and a large sofa paired with a dining table are all integrated into the layout, making it suited to everything from a quiet afternoon at anchor to entertaining a full complement of guests. Forward, the foredeck provides its own dedicated sunbathing area.

Privacy and comfort have been carefully addressed through a four-panel sliding door, an electric awning, and a combined sunshield and windshield. Full air conditioning is available as an option throughout the vessel.

‘This 48-foot yacht combines elegance, functionality, and innovation, designed for both avid mariners and leisure seekers.’

Smart design, seamless technology

Twin VOLVO D8 IPS 700 engines power the F48 to a top speed of 35 knots. Alongside that performance sits a comprehensive suite of onboard technology, covering advanced electronics, entertainment systems, and smart automation with intuitive controls designed to simplify both manoeuvring and day-to-day system management.

The galley is fully equipped, with an optional barbecue available for those who want to extend the culinary options. A submersible stern platform fitted with a folding ladder makes water access straightforward, whether for swimming, diving, or deploying a tender. Onboard entertainment centres on a 40-inch SMART Full HD TV with an electric lift system.

Italian design

The F48 was developed collaboratively by Centrostiledesign and Sessa Marine's in-house design team, bringing together Italian craftsmanship and a modern sensibility. Three separate cabins are arranged to give each a degree of independence and quiet, with the VIP cabin distinguished by panoramic windows that bring natural light deep into the hull. The engine room has been designed with practicality in mind, with space to accommodate optional accessories including stabilisers and watermakers.

Setting a benchmark

With the F48, Sessa Marine is pushing against the conventions of traditional yacht design, redefining what liveability at sea can look like. The result is a vessel intended to offer a more immersive and genuinely rewarding experience on the water.
