SailGP has renewed its partnership with marine consultancy and survey company ABPmer through to the end of the 2028 Season, with ABPmer continuing as the Championship's Official Tidal Modelling Supplier.
The renewed agreement sees ABPmer continue delivering high-resolution tidal and current data to SailGP teams at venues where tides are the primary driver of surface currents, supporting race-day performance and decision making.

ABPmer has worked with SailGP since 2021, providing race-day current data at 10-minute intervals for events including Hong Kong, Perth, San Francisco, Halifax, New York and next week's Emirates Great Britain Sail Grand Prix in Portsmouth.
SailGP's F50 catamarans are capable of speeds of more than 100 km/h, making accurate tidal information a critical input for onboard systems covering navigation, performance analysis, wind calculations and boat control. The data also supports race management throughout each event.

Alex Reid, SailGP's Director of Performance Engineering, said: "Precise tidal data is critical from both a sailing and race management standpoint. A significant number of the calculations carried out on the F50s, spanning wind analysis, performance, navigation and control systems, all depend on it.
"The quality of data that ABPmer has delivered has been a genuine step forward, particularly given their capability to model complex flow scenarios. That translates directly into measurable gains on the F50 and across the broader SailGP ecosystem."
The partnership extension means SailGP teams will keep access to ABPmer's hydrodynamic modelling technology across the next three seasons as the Championship races at venues around the world.
