The 2026 Rolex Swan Cup has attracted 167 entries, approaching its maximum fleet of 170 yachts as the event marks the 60th anniversary of the Finnish builder.
The fleet will span the complete history of Nautor Swan, from Tarantella—the original Swan 36-001 that launched production in 1966 and was recently restored at Pietarsaari—through to the modern Swan 128s Be Cool and Raijin and the new Swan 80 Elvi.
Racing runs 13–19 September in Porto Cervo, Sardinia, organised by Yacht Club Costa Smeralda in collaboration with Nautor Swan. Rolex has been Title Sponsor of the event since 1984.
The entry list reflects the three strands of contemporary Swan sailing. ClubSwan Racing covers One Design classes from the ClubSwan 28 to the ClubSwan 50 and Swan 45. ClubSwan Legacy groups historic yachts by Sparkman & Stephens, Ron Holland and German Frers. ClubSwan Spirit is for modern designs, including a division for owners racing in cruising configuration.
The Swan 65 Shirlaf, launched in 1976 and celebrating her 50th anniversary this year, will compete in both the Rolex Swan Cup and the preceding Maxi Yacht Rolex Cup (6–12 September), linking the two events.
The Maxi Yacht Rolex Cup will stage two world championships: the Rolex IMA Maxi 1 World Championship and Rolex IMA Maxi Grand Prix World Championship. Defending champions Galateia (WallyCento) and Django 7X (wallyrocket71) return, with the latter facing renewed competition from Jolt, Bella Mente, Proteus, Jethou and Balthasar. The new JV76 Northstar III is expected to debut. Six multihulls are entered, including Sophia, the first trimaran to race the event.
