Remigo has launched the RemigoOne Neo, a next-generation electric outboard that has already earned prestigious international recognition.
The outboard claimed Design of the Year honours at the 2025 European Product Design Awards, one of Europe's most respected programmes celebrating excellence across industrial and transport design. The jury highlighted the RemigoOne Neo's integrated design, its real-world usability, and its electric-first approach to marine propulsion.
Building on the success of the original RemigoOne, the Neo delivers increased performance while retaining the same slim, blade-shaped silhouette. The unit serves simultaneously as propulsion system and rudder, doing away with the mechanical complexity and ongoing maintenance demands associated with conventional outboards.
At the heart of the RemigoOne Neo is a highly efficient 1000 W brushless DC motor, with a 1500 W boost mode available when conditions demand it. Remigo rates the output as comparable to a 4 HP petrol outboard, yet the Neo operates without noise, exhaust fumes, or direct emissions. The integrated 1085 Wh lithium-ion battery sits within a marine-grade aluminium unibody housing rated to IP67, and an innovative two-part mounting system makes the outboard suitable for boats up to 7 metres or 1500 kg.
Several refinements set the Neo apart from its predecessor. Optional remote control capability has been added, shaft length can be adjusted straplessly from S to XL across a single model, and the complete unit, bracket included, weighs just 12 kg.
Remigo CEO Marko Vrtovec was direct about the thinking behind the product. "RemigoOne Neo was designed as an electric-first system, not a combustion engine replacement," he said. "This award confirms that focusing on user experience, durability, and simplicity delivers real benefits on the water."
