Miami's season-ending E1 Grand Prix is about to get a serious splash of colour, with the all-electric raceboat series announcing a collaboration with celebrated Miami-based artist Romero Britto that will turn the event into an open-air pop art experience.
The partnership weaves Britto's bold, vibrant style throughout the E1 Miami GP 2026, including a bespoke top qualifier trophy and a photo moment built around the futuristic E1 RaceBird, the raceboat used in the E1 World Championship. Britto has also created three new characters, a manatee, a turtle and a dolphin, all species protected in Florida, as a nod to E1's connection to Miami and to the ocean itself.
The artwork will feature across the exclusive VIP E1 Ocean Club hospitality paddock, too. Fans who buy an E1 Ocean Club pass through E1's official ticketing provider, Fever, will receive their own limited-edition E1 x Britto capsule collection items.
Britto was born in Recife, Brazil, in 1963 and is a self-taught painter and sculptor whose vibrant, optimistic style fuses cubism, pop art and graffiti. He has been based in Miami since the late 1980s and is regarded as one of the most famous and celebrated living visual artists in the world.
Both E1 and Britto have deep roots in Miami, and the collaboration draws on that shared history, along with a mutual focus on inspiring the next generation of artists, dreamers and racers.
The Miami event carries extra significance this year as the Championship's first double-header, with the 2026 Champions of the Water to be crowned on Biscayne Bay. Round six runs on Friday November 13, followed by round seven on Saturday November 14, as part of a Championship backed by team owners including Tom Brady, LeBron James and Miami-based Marc Anthony.
Jamie Copas, Chief Executive Officer of E1, said the pairing suited the occasion. "This collaboration is a perfect fit for E1's season finale in Miami with Romero's colour, vibrancy and energy capturing exactly what makes E1 so exciting," he said. "Romero pays homage to the work undertaken by E1 and its teams to conserve, protect and enhance marine wildlife while highlighting iconic marine species that call the Miami coastline home in a fun and playful way."
Romero Britto said the project reflected the city he calls home. "Miami is where my art found its home, and E1 shares that same spirit of innovation and joy," he said. "I'm excited for guests and fans to experience these new designs across the E1 Miami GP 2026 season finale."
