Palm Beach Motor Yachts is marking its 30th anniversary in style, bringing two vessels to the Newport International Boat Show from 11 to 14 September. The centrepiece is the world debut of the Palm Beach GT60 Jet Drive, the brand's first model to feature HamiltonJet propulsion, alongside the Palm Beach 70, a flagship yacht carrying the company's signature blend of performance, elegance, and timeless luxury.
The Palm Beach GT60 Jet Drive is a motor yacht purpose-built for the particular demands of the American Northeast, and its origins lie in a real customer conversation. "The Palm Beach GT60 Jet Drive was born from conversations with a longtime Palm Beach Motor Yachts owner who summers in Maine," said Mark Richards, founder, CEO, and Chief Designer. "He needed jet drives to manage the unique challenges of the Northeast while also wanting a motor yacht that reflected his lifestyle. That collaboration resulted in a model both highly functional and beautifully refined. This GT60 Jet Drive demonstrates our commitment to customisation, bringing the customer vision into reality."
Twin Volvo Penta D13 diesels, each producing 1,000 horsepower, work with Hamilton HJ403 waterjets to deliver a cruising speed of 35 knots. A shallow draft of just 2'9" allows the GT60 Jet Drive to navigate New England's lobster-trap-lined coastal waters and other shallow inshore regions with ease.
