The Palm Beach 85 made her world debut at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, a landmark moment for Palm Beach Motor Yachts. First announced in June 2024, the PB85 had been among the most eagerly awaited projects in the brand's history, and 2025 delivered on that anticipation with the yacht's official launch.
At 27.6 metres, the PB85 brings together luxury, comfort, and genuine performance in a single package. Buyers can specify the vessel in Skylounge, Sedan, or Flybridge configurations, with twin or triple engine options available depending on preference. Below decks, a three or four stateroom, four-head arrangement suits extended family cruising and guest entertaining alike, while the full-beam master stateroom amidships draws in natural light and offers both space and privacy.
Crew comfort has received serious attention aboard the PB85, with quarters that are rarely found in the 80-foot class. The main deck runs as a single continuous level from the helm station through to the cockpit, producing an open, sociable atmosphere well suited to time on the water with family or friends.
Like every model in the Palm Beach range, the PB85 is built around the brand's proprietary V-Warp® Technology, a hull design philosophy that developed directly from founder Mark Richards' ocean-racing background. The hull combines a fine entry, smooth curvature through the run, and minimal transom deadrise, working together to cut drag while enhancing stability and lift. Throughout her full speed range the PB85 holds a consistent five-degree running angle, and the design achieves up to 70% greater fuel efficiency than comparable vessels in her class.
For Richards, the PB85 carries a personal significance that goes well beyond the engineering.
