SACS Marine brought four world premieres to the Cannes Yachting Festival in September. The most talked-about was the Pirelli 44, the newest addition to the Pirelli Speedboats range, sitting between the 42 and the 47 in the lineup rather than replacing either.
Where the 44 actually borrows from is the Pirelli 47, the model that introduced a fully new design language to the range when it launched at Cannes in 2025. The 44 carries that same open layout and styling signature into a more compact hull, while SACS also credits the smaller 42 with proving out the balance and success the brand wanted to preserve. It's less a straight successor to either boat than a bridge between the two.
Underneath is a dual-step racing hull from the Mannerfelt Design Team. At 13.10m LOA and 4.30m beam, it's CE-B rated for 18 people, with its 600mm tubes divided into six compartments. Three engine configurations are on offer: triple Mercury Verado V10s at 425hp each for 1,275hp combined (the setup shown at Cannes), twin V10s at the same 425hp rating, or twin Verado V12s at 600hp apiece.
The deck layout puts real weight on usable space. A large sunpad and bow lounge sit forward, with a face-to-face configuration aft, and a large glass windscreen with wipers, which Pirelli calls a unique solution for a boat this size, keeps the helm usable in rougher conditions. Below deck, the living area converts for overnight accommodation and is complemented by a separate head.
The same platform has also spawned the limited Pirelli 44 | Ducati Edition, a 26-boat centenary tribute powered by triple 500hp Mercury Racing outboards, reserved exclusively for that project.
