Polish builder Galeon Yachts has published full technical and design specifications for the newest version of its flagship sports cruiser, the Galeon 700 Skydeck. The ninth hull produced on the 700 platform is the first to feature a redesigned interior, created in collaboration with Hong Kong studio InSitu Design.
The Galeon 700 Skydeck sits at the top of Galeon's sport-focused Skydeck range, a line stretching from 47 to 70 feet that has been in continuous production since its 2010 launch. The series is built around a hybrid architectural concept that departs from conventional flybridge thinking. Rather than a raised helm tower, the design places a low-profile upper-deck sports helm station within a coupé-style silhouette, lowering the centre of gravity and producing cleaner exterior lines.
The main deck is organised around an open-plan salon joined to a central galley, with panoramic superstructure glazing drawing natural light through the living spaces. Below decks, the accommodation layout offers genuine flexibility, anchored by a full-beam master stateroom amidships and a forward ensuite VIP cabin. Two intermediate guest cabins can be configured as doubles, twins, or as a single bed paired with a Pullman berth that folds away to reveal a concealed drop-down work desk. At the stern, buyers choose between a crew cabin for two or a dedicated garage for a tender and water toys.
Throughout the build, Galeon has prioritised weight-conscious composite materials. Top-specification power comes from twin MAN V8 diesels, each producing 1,200hp, which together deliver a cruising speed of 23 knots and a maximum recorded speed of 32 knots.
The most significant changes on this ninth hull are concentrated in the interior, where the focus has been on materials, spatial geometry, and engineering refinements. The revised design language introduces rounded panel edges alongside five distinct Mediterranean-themed material palettes, among them 'Pearl', 'Amber', and 'Ivory'. Italian leather upholstery, textile wall panels, natural timber cabinetry, and ceramic surfaces feature throughout.
Storage has also been addressed at a structural level, with compartments integrated directly into the bulkheads to optimise usable space during extended coastal passages.
Across Australia and New Zealand, the Galeon 700 Skydeck is available through Australasian distributor Alexander Marine, which manages sales and service for buyers throughout the region.
