Sirena 118

New flagship afloat: Sirena's biggest yacht yet heads for Cannes

1 min read

Sirena Yachts has splashed its biggest boat ever, the 36-metre Sirena 118, and it's now going through final commissioning before showing up at the Cannes Yachting Festival.

The 118 is the new flagship for the Turkish builder, and it's a proper size jump from anything they've launched before.

She's an all-composite fast-displacement hull, kept under 300 GT, that's the industry measure of a boat's internal volume, not her weight. Add in the sharp plumb bow and she's got a leaner, faster-looking profile than you'd expect for her size. Sirena's own design team did the exterior, and Germán Frers handled the naval architecture, a name any performance sailor or motor yacht buff will know.

Dutch studio Cor D. Rover did the interior, and it can be laid out for up to six guest cabins. The pick of the options is what Sirena's calling a "loft" suite, a two-level owner's setup that links the main-deck stateroom straight down to a private lower-deck space with its own water access.

Standard power is twin MAN V12 diesels putting out 3,100 hp, good for 16 knots and comfortable long-range cruising. Want more? There's an optional 3,800 hp package that lifts top speed to 21 knots.

"Seeing the Sirena 118 in the water for the first time is an immensely proud moment for everyone at Sirena Marine," said CEO Çağin Genc, who added the boat reflects "the expertise, craftsmanship and ambition" of the team.

Once commissioning's done, she'll head to Cannes for her public debut.
