Navico Group has formed a strategic partnership with Italian audio specialist Elettromedia to deliver more tightly integrated marine audio systems across its electronics platforms.
The agreement, announced in Cannes, France, names Audison and Hertz as Navico Group's preferred audio brands, while Navico's multifunction displays become Elettromedia's preferred platform for marine applications. The collaboration targets boat builders seeking unified vessel technology rather than separate components.
"Navico Group is helping define the next generation of holistic onboard experiences, with premium audio becoming a more integrated part of the vessel technology ecosystem," said Áine Denari, President of Navico Group and Chief Technology Officer at Brunswick Corporation. "By partnering with Elettromedia, we are combining Navico Group's leadership in electronics, digital controls and vessel integration with Elettromedia's deep knowledge of audio."
The partnership aims to reduce the friction between audio systems, multifunction displays and broader vessel networks. For boat builders, the promise is a complete system rather than matched components; for owners, audio that functions as part of the vessel's intelligence from boarding.
"The moments people remember from a day on the water always have a soundtrack," said Pietro Pantaleone, President of Elettromedia. "What changes now is integration: together with Navico Group, we can shape a new concept of audio solution, where the audio system and the intelligence of the vessel are designed as one."
Elettromedia was founded in 1987 in Potenza Picena, Italy, and now operates in 72 countries, covering its own research and development, production and distribution. The company says its Italian R&D centre has focused on automotive and marine audio engineering for almost four decades.
Both companies said the agreement does not replace their existing commercial relationships, leaving room for other audio and electronics partnerships to continue alongside it.
