Micky Munns and Cadance Oswald claimed the 2026 US 470 National Championship, sailing under the Windmark Sailing Foundation banner across a four-day regatta.
Eight boats raced in conditions ranging from super windy and choppy to light and flat, with wind coming from the north, west, and south at various points. The final day was abandoned when winds topped 30 knots.
Second place went to Chris Kayda and Clare Holehouse of Oyster Bay 470 Team and Windmark Sailing Foundation. The new Canadian pairing of Rory Walsh and Tara Golonka rounded out the podium in third.
Three boats contested the U21 fleet. New helm Merritt Sellers and Owen Benison, a 2026 Winter Series competitor, took the fleet win. Winter Series youth champion Ethan Youngsma and crew Abby Hesterhagen finished second, with newcomers Tom Seibold and Annabelle Hucke in third.
