Marcopolo Adventure Yachts made its international debut at boot Düsseldorf 2026, introducing two production-ready models that mark a deliberate return to seaworthiness, purposeful cruising, and the kind of offshore capability that has been overshadowed in recent years by style-first design.
Founder Rosario Alcaro led the brand's launch presentation, revealing the MP10 and MP12, measuring 9.96 metres and 12.70 metres respectively. Both yachts were developed with real-world sea conditions as the primary design brief, seeking a balance between solid engineering, onboard comfort, and genuine versatility.
"At a time when many boats prioritise appearance over function, Marcopolo was created to rediscover the true essence of cruising," said Rosario Alcaro. "Adventure, seaworthiness, and freedom of movement guided every decision, while remaining faithful to Italian design values."
Designer Roberto Delfanti collaborated on both models, with construction carried out at 3AF Shipyard in Villafranca Tirrena near Messina. The MP10 and MP12 represent a conscious departure from the floating villa trend that has dominated much of the recreational boating market, directing attention instead toward exploration, practical usability, and confidence at sea.
The two yachts share a strong visual identity, most immediately recognisable in their reverse windshields and assertive lines that carry an almost military character, projecting strength rather than luxury. Each hull was shaped using CFD analysis and stepped geometry, targeting balance, efficiency, and control across a range of conditions. The MP10 uses a double step hull configuration, while the MP12 adopts a triple step arrangement designed to broaden its stability and performance envelope across varying speeds.
Both models incorporate high-power outboard propulsion mounted within dedicated structural frames, an arrangement chosen to improve safety and handling. Fold-down bulwarks come standard on each vessel, opening up the aft deck and adding usable space whether at anchor or underway. Advanced materials feature throughout the construction, among them recycled PET cores and honeycomb polypropylene, reducing overall weight without any sacrifice in structural strength.
The MP10 and MP12 were presented as genuinely global platforms, suited to operating environments as varied as the Mediterranean, Northern Europe, the United States, and inland waters. Open and cruiser configurations are available across both models, accommodating a range of ownership preferences and cruising intentions.
The MP10 is designed with social, spontaneous boating at its heart, carrying up to 12 people with a generous open bow and flexible interior arrangements. The MP12 builds on that foundation, welcoming up to 14 guests through two cabins, four berths, and systems oriented toward longer passages and extended time aboard.
The boot Düsseldorf 2026 debut positions Marcopolo Adventure Yachts as a new entrant in the adventure yacht segment, combining Italian design principles and technical capability with a clear focus on the experience of being at sea.
