Magnitude 6 quake hits Vanuatu Islands region, no tsunami warning issued

A magnitude 6 earthquake has struck the Vanuatu Islands region, according to the German Research Centre for Geosciences (GFZ). The agency reported the quake occurred at a depth of 10km.

The US Tsunami Warning System has confirmed that no tsunami warning has been issued as a result of the quake.
