Live coverage is coming in from Wanganui as the NZ Jet Sprint Championship heads into Round 2.

Bad weather in Wanganui caused a pause from about 2:15pm, scheduled to be racing again at 2:30pm.

Before the weather intervened, the afternoon session had already delivered plenty of drama. The NextGen Youth competitors took to the course after lunch at Whanganui and immediately lifted the intensity, bringing big speed and a few heart-stopping moments along with it. A couple of spills occurred during that period, though the safety systems in place performed exactly as they were designed to.

Earlier in the day, the course layout was outlined for followers tuning in remotely.
