Four Star Rentals' branding on display at Key West

Key West pits get tents and power from local rental firm

2 min read

Four Star Rentals is returning as a supplier to the Key West World Championships, November 1 to 8, 2026, providing tents, generators and support equipment to race teams setting up in the pits at Truman Waterfront Park & Race Village.

The locally owned family business has served Key West and the Florida Keys since 1986, well before offshore powerboat racing became the fixture it now is in the Lower Keys.

Teams arriving for the World Championships face the same challenge every year: turning a stretch of waterfront park into a functioning race base within days. Tents go up over boats, generators run for a week straight, and lighting, fans, coolers and tables have to arrive on time and be collected again once the racing wraps.

That is where Four Star comes in. The company's race week rental list covers tents, tables and chairs, coolers, fans, lighting, generators, portable bars, forklifts and scissor lifts, and it will deliver and collect anything on hire, with after-hours service available.

Race team tents are a particular focus this year, and Four Star is encouraging teams to book theirs early. Erik Lemon is handling bookings and can be reached at FourStarRentals@aol.com or on 305-294-7171.

Four Star's work extends well beyond race week. Contractors, film crews, destination management companies, and wedding and event planners use the company year-round for tool and equipment hire, from boom lifts and skid steers to saws and scaffolding, alongside party rental gear such as tents, chiavari chairs, linens and lighting.

Visitors to Key West can also hire mobility scooters and wheelchairs built for the uneven footing of Old Town, with half-day, daily, weekly and monthly rates on offer.

Four Star Rentals is based at 5216 US Highway One, Mile Marker 4.5, Stock Island, Key West. It can be reached on 305-294-7171 or through FourStarRentals.com.
