Rain cut the final heats short on Sunday at North Tonawanda's Thunder on the Niagara, but it couldn't dampen what turned out to be a memorable weekend of hydroplane racing. Beautiful weather on Saturday set the tone, and even with the conditions closing in on day two, the 2026 edition delivered plenty of action across all four classes.
Eddie Kanfoush had the standout weekend, winning both Formula F in F-16 Viper and Hydro 350 in H-999 La Bête Noire. Chris Fanaris in F-92 Tenacity and Marc Lecompte in F-555 Happy Sunny completed the Formula F podium, while Tommy Shannon brought H-306 Dognasty home second in Hydro 350, with Marc Lalonde third in H-751 Lalo Racing.
Renaud Simard took top honours in Formula R aboard R-817 Formax Racing, with Benjamin Léger in R-21 Supernova second and Ayden Sovie in R-50 Centsless 15 third.
The Grand Prix class saw a family affair at the top. Kent Henderson piloted GP-757 Canada Boy to the win, with Bert Henderson following in GP-71 The Wild One. Ken Brodie II rounded out the podium in GP-50 Freedom.
