Jeddah axed from 2026 F1H2O calendar amid regional unrest

1 min read

The 2026 UIM F1H2O World Championship calendar has been revised, with the Jeddah Grand Prix dropped from the season due to an ongoing force majeure situation linked to current geopolitical circumstances in the region.

Organisers say every effort was made to keep the event on the schedule, but the situation ultimately made it unworkable for 2026.

With Jeddah removed, the championship will instead continue with the Grand Prix of Shanghai, another milestone for F1H2O in China.

The series will then head to Sharjah in the UAE for the final round of the season, where the 2026 UIM F1H2O World Champion will be crowned.

F1H2O thanked the teams, drivers, partners, organisers, broadcasters and fans for their continued support and understanding.
