Japan's 470 sailors will get a final hit-out before the World Championships with the 2026 Kanto Championship, scheduled for 1–2 August at Enoshima, the same venue set to host the Worlds later in the season.
The two-day regatta is billed as the ideal warm-up for the biggest event on the 470 calendar, giving competitors a chance to fine-tune on the water they'll need to know best.
With the Worlds at Enoshima on the horizon, the Kanto Championship shapes as more than a regional title. Time on that water before a home Worlds will be a real advantage for those who make the start line.
Full details, including the Notice of Race, are available through the 470 Class website.
