Gender Equality Certification has been awarded to Absolute Yachts, recognising the Italian builder's work to promote equal opportunities and build a workplace culture founded on respect, active listening, and the recognition of individual skills.
The certification followed a structured assessment process that drew in different areas of the organisation, translating shared principles into defined objectives, actions, and responsibilities. For Absolute, it marks a point on a longer journey rather than a final destination.
Over recent months the company worked across processes, policies, and initiatives covering professional development, career opportunities, work-life balance, organisational culture, and the prevention of discrimination. Some of those initiatives are already in place, with others to be introduced progressively over the coming months.
Chief Human Resources Officer Patrizia Gobbi paid tribute to those involved. "I would personally like to thank everyone who contributed to achieving this important result, particularly Alice Parisi, together with the HR and IT teams, who supported the different stages of the journey with expertise and dedication," she said.
Gobbi described the process as a practical demonstration of cross-functional teamwork. "It was a tangible example of collaboration and of how different professional backgrounds can come together around a shared objective. It has been an intense and inspiring journey, enabling us to recognise the progress already made and identify new opportunities for improvement."
Maintaining the standards achieved, monitoring results, and continuing to improve are framed as ongoing obligations, with staff input considered central to that work. As Gobbi put it, "the certification is an achievement of which we can be proud, but above all, it marks the beginning of a commitment that we will continue to pursue with everyone's contribution."
