INTERBOOT 2026 spreads across eight exhibition halls on the shores of Lake Constance, Germany, from September 23 to 27, and this year the fair adds three ideas that haven't been tried there before. An E-Boat Area gathers electric propulsion and low-emission technology under one roof. A Refit Centre puts the focus on restoration and upkeep, teak deck repairs and hull care among them, the unglamorous work that keeps older boats seaworthy. And out on the Fair Lake, teams from Germany, Austria and Switzerland will build their own canoes and race them, powered by nothing more than a cordless drill.
The "My First Boat" showcase returns in a larger form this year, aimed at people considering a first boat rather than upgrading one, with financing, insurance and licensing questions answered on site.
"We want to inspire visitors to discover activities on and under the water while demonstrating that getting started is easier than many might expect," says Project Manager Felix Klarmann. "With new interactive formats, modern boats, and opportunities for personal exchange, we are creating a platform that appeals both to experienced water sports enthusiasts and newcomers."
The fair leans on hands-on experience as much as the display halls, test rides on the Fair Lake and at the INTERBOOT Marina, trend sports demonstrations, boats open to walk through rather than just view from a stand. Last year's edition drew 37,900 visitors and 346 exhibitors from 18 nations across 60,000 square metres.
