ILIAD Catamarans has released the first images of its ILIAD 53F OffGrid Hybrid, and the debut hull is drawing attention for reasons that go well beyond its technical credentials. Commissioned by a private client, this inaugural example features a fully bespoke interior conceived by multi-award-winning studio BAZ Yacht Design, offering a compelling early look at what the model can achieve when customisation is taken to its fullest expression.
The interior signals its character immediately. Crisp tones and carefully chosen materials work alongside a layout refined for both ease of living and practical functionality, producing what the studio describes as a warm yet contemporary atmosphere. Among the defining elements are a redesigned master cabin and saloon, modular furniture throughout, and a consistent design language built around light, spatial balance, and modern elegance.

The project grew from a close working relationship between BAZ Yacht Design and the team at ILIAD Catamarans. Rather than applying a pre-existing aesthetic, the studio approached the ILIAD 53F OffGrid Hybrid as an opportunity to build an interior identity specific to the model, drawing on its deep maritime expertise and hands-on design philosophy. The process ran from early concept work through to complete interior execution, resulting in a cohesive environment where every element feels considered rather than incidental.

BAZ Yacht Design brings an internationally recognised pedigree to the collaboration. The studio has completed projects for leading yachting brands across the globe and has accumulated a string of prestigious awards for its work. Most recently, it received the 2025 International Yacht & Aviation Award in Monte Carlo for Interior Design Under 40 Metres, adding to a portfolio that consistently reflects a commitment to timeless aesthetics and performance-focused living aboard.
Bilge Zaptçıoğlu Atal, co-founder and Head of Interior Design at BAZ Yacht Design, spoke to what the studio set out to achieve. "Our aim was to define a refined and contemporary interior identity for ILIAD Catamarans, one that feels calm, balanced and deeply connected to life at sea," Bilge said.
The collaborative spirit underpinning the project was equally important to the outcome. "We value our collaboration with the ILIAD team, and their openness to design and commitment to quality allowed us to create a cohesive design language where materials, light and spatial flow come together naturally," he said.

"The result is an atmosphere that is both contemporary and timeless, designed not only to be seen, but to be truly lived at sea."
The ILIAD 53F OffGrid Hybrid will make its global debut at the 2026 Cannes Yachting Festival in September, when this collaboration between ILIAD Catamarans and BAZ Yacht Design will be presented to the international yachting world for the first time.
