Icom fixed VHF/DSC lineup spans entry-level to networked smart radios

1 min read

Icom's current fixed VHF/DSC marine radio lineup spans compact entry-level units through to fully networked smart radios and black-box installations.

All current models share a common user interface built around a tactile rotary selector and directional keypad, designed for confident operation in rough conditions. Every model now includes an integrated GNSS receiver as standard to meet current safety regulations.

The IC-M330GE sits at the compact end of the range. Icom describes it as their most compact, straightforward, and easy-to-use VHF/DSC radio, suited to smaller consoles or those who want reliable communication without additional features.

A step up, the IC-M423GE adds dual-station control via an optional COMMANDMIC, making it a practical choice for flybridge or twin-cabin setups.

Coming soon is the IC-M430E, which features a new slim design with 50 per cent less depth than previous models, a bright colour TFT LCD, NMEA 2000 connectivity, front and rear mic fittings, and flush-mount capability built into the case. Optional dual-station control is available via the HM-195 Commandmic.

The IC-M510 EVO is available in two versions, with or without an integrated AIS receiver, and features smartphone control and NMEA 2000 connectivity.

For installations where console space is limited, the IC-M410BB and IC-M510BB black-box solutions keep the main unit out of sight, with full control through a COMMANDMIC.

At the top of the fixed radio range, the IC-M605E features a 4.3-inch colour display, an integrated AIS receiver, a dedicated numeric keypad, and support for up to three full-function control stations, making it suited to the primary helm of larger vessels.

Icom's marine base stations, AIS solutions, and GMDSS commercial radios are also available alongside the fixed VHF range.
