Hong Kong debuts as Bermuda welcomes SailGP fleet back in 2027

2 min read

Tickets have gone on sale for two of the standout fixtures on next season's SailGP calendar, with Hong Kong hosting its first ever event and Bermuda welcoming the fleet back after a sell-out debut.

The American Express Hong Kong Sail Grand Prix on 23-24 January will open the 13-event 2027 season, marking a landmark date for the league. Victoria Harbour's neon-lit skyline will provide the backdrop as the F50 catamarans race there for the first time.

Fans heading to the Waterfront Grandstand get a seated spot right in the Race Stadium, with clear views of the course and live commentary piped through. Food, drinks and official SailGP merchandise will be available to buy on site.

Bermuda is a different proposition. SailGP returns to Morgan Point for the Apex Bermuda Sail Grand Prix on 1-2 May, after the 2026 event sold out with crowds nearing 6,000 across the weekend.

There are four ways to watch there.

Waterfront Viewing offers flexible, open stadium seating with uninterrupted views of the racecourse and live commentary, plus food and drink for purchase. It's the entry point for fans who just want to be close to the action.

Step up to VELA Beach Club and you get gourmet dining, drinks and a proper hospitality setting right on the water, with entertainment and commentary built in.

New for 2027 is VELA Privé, SailGP's top-tier hospitality offering. It's a private, all-inclusive waterfront lounge pitched at those wanting the most polished race-day experience on offer.

Then there's Bring Your Own Boat, for those who'd rather watch from the water itself. Boats can sit within the designated Exclusion Zone, with race-day support and an official SailGP flag provided. It's for personal use only, no commercial operations allowed, and the option won't open for booking until spring 2027.

The rest of the season takes shape through the year beyond Hong Kong and Bermuda. Perth hosts the Australia Sail Grand Prix in February, before the fleet heads to San Francisco on 3-4 April.

From there it's Halifax for the Canada event on 15-16 May, New York on 5-6 June, and Great Britain's round on 24-25 July. August brings Germany's Sassnitz stop on 14-15 August, followed by Spain in Valencia on 4-5 September and Italy on 11-12 September, then Rio on 9-10 October.

Dubai closes out the regular season on 20-21 November, before the Rolex SailGP Championship Grand Final brings the year to a close, date still to be confirmed.
