Headsail damage for Antoine Cornic on HUMAN IMMOBILIER

1 min read

This morning at 4:22am NZ time, Antoine Cornic informed his team of the loss of his Fractional Zero (FR0).

While sailing under two reefs and FR0, in a heavy sea and 30 knots of wind, a squall of more than 70 knots knocked Antoine Cornic's boat over, tearing his FR0 sail in two under the pressure.

Antoine cut the fabric to preserve the boat and its mast, unfortunately without managing to recover the entire sail on board. The sailor and his boat are safe. Antoine has passed under J2 and is continuing on his way.

Looking out from his yacht, we can see the very poor sea state.
