Fans keen to watch the F50 catamarans tear across Halifax Harbour at speeds topping 100 km/h now have a date and a price list. Organisers of the 2027 Canada Sail Grand Prix have released ticket details for the May 15 to 16 race weekend, giving spectators plenty of lead time to plan their trip.

Four viewing options are on offer, each pitched at a different budget and level of comfort.

The Waterfront Grandstand provides elevated seating within the Race Stadium, with three pricing tiers depending on proximity to the course. Presale pricing starts at CAD $105 for a single day or CAD $160 for the full weekend, with standard pricing holding at the same rate.

For something more laid-back, there's the Waterfront Boardwalk Viewing option near the Drunken Lamppost sculptures, where casual seating, a big screen and a buzzy atmosphere are the drawcards. Presale tickets start at CAD $155 a day or CAD $310 for the weekend, rising to CAD $170 and CAD $340 at standard pricing.

Then there's VELA Beach Club, the premium end of the offering. Prime race views, complimentary food, premium drinks, live hosting and a DJ feature here, with presale prices starting at CAD $460 a day or CAD $920 for the weekend. Standard pricing climbs to CAD $490 and CAD $980 respectively.

The fourth option will appeal to anyone with their own vessel. Bring Your Own Boat, or BYOB, lets spectators watch from the water inside a designated Exclusion Zone, complete with race-day support and an official SailGP flag for the boat. That option won't open for bookings until spring 2027.

Halifax Harbour is shaping up as one of the more spectacular close-to-shore venues on the calendar. Its tight layout gives fans a dramatic view of the fleet against the city's waterfront, maritime heritage and sailing culture.

SailGP+ members get first access to tickets, with the presale window running from October 16 at 10am ADT through to October 19 at 5pm ADT. General sale opens October 20 at 10am ADT. Fans wanting early access and exclusive pricing can sign up for SailGP+ at SailGP.com/Halifax.

The 2026 edition drew a strong crowd, with around 12,000 official ticketed spectators and thousands more watching from along the Halifax waterfront. Thirteen national teams raced their F50 catamarans that weekend, setting a high bar for 2027 to match.
