The GWA has cancelled the 2026 Wingfoil World Championship scheduled for Dakhla, Morocco, citing circumstances beyond its control.
The season finale was set to run from 6–11 October 2026. The GWA stated the decision "was not taken lightly" and acknowledged disappointment for athletes, partners and supporters who had prepared for the championship.
The association said it is now working with athletes, partners and stakeholders on next steps. No replacement venue or date has been announced.
Further updates will be posted on wingfoilworldtour.com and the GWA's social channels.
