Registration is open for the inaugural Eurasian Inclusive Cup, a new para-inclusive sailing championship bringing together competitors from Europe and Asia at KRS Lake in Mysuru, India.
The event is hosted by Royal Mysore Sailing Club, whose goal is to build a sustainable pathway for inclusive sailing across the region. Gathering athletes from both continents at a single venue is central to that vision.
Racing will be held in the Hansa 2.3, Hansa 303 (sailed single or double-handed), and the SV14 two-hander, with an international Race Committee overseeing proceedings to world-class standards. A World Sailing Inclusive Development Program will run alongside the racing, aimed at bringing new sailors into the sport and establishing a long-term legacy.
To reduce barriers for athletes travelling long distances, the organisers are offering the first 16 entrants free entry, free boat charter, free airport transfers, and free shared tented accommodation on the lakeside, on a first-come, first-served basis. Beyond that, subsidised hotel accommodation starts from 30 Euro, with free local transport included.
The venue sits on the shore of the Krishna Raja Sagar Reservoir, near the Palace city of Mysuru in South India, around 120km from Kempegowda International Airport in Bengaluru. Mysuru is well known for its palace, silk, and spices, and draws a steady stream of tourists.
Royal Mysore Sailing Club has form here. Last year they hosted the Asia Inclusive Sailing Series in the Hansa 2.3 and Hansa 303, drawing 75 entries from 10 countries. For the Eurasian Inclusive Cup they are anticipating 100 entries from 15 countries.
