Fountaine Pajot Yachts has unveiled the FPY 70S, a new flagship catamaran that sets a fresh benchmark in luxury multihull design. Built around the idea that bluewater cruising should feel as much like living as it does sailing, this 22-metre yacht brings together performance, elegance and a genuine commitment to sustainable passage-making.
With 226 square metres of refined living space, the FPY 70S is conceived as a home on the water, one that keeps its occupants close to the sea without sacrificing privacy or comfort. Accommodation extends to 12 guests and five crew, with the layout achieving a balance between generous shared spaces and quiet retreats. A 51-square-metre aft terrace lounge anchors the social heart of the vessel, while a 31-square-metre panoramic flybridge, a 26-square-metre foredeck complete with integrated spa, and a 25-square-metre Maestro suite each offer their own distinct character.
What makes the FPY 70S particularly adaptable is the breadth of configuration options available to buyers. Up to eight layout variations are on offer, with between three and six guest cabins and as many as five crew cabins, depending on the owner's priorities. The galley can be positioned on the main deck or below, and Fountaine Pajot's design team is available to guide fully bespoke fitouts across a palette of textures and finishes that underscores the yacht's contemporary feel.
Crew facilities have been given serious attention, with 34 square metres set aside for their use, including a captain's cabin with its own ensuite. The circulation plan keeps guest and crew movements separate, preserving the sense of ease and discretion that defines the onboard experience. For extended voyages, the FPY 70S is equipped to operate with considerable self-sufficiency: 7,000 W of solar panels, a high-capacity generator, a 300-litre-per-hour watermaker and a 1,300-litre fuel tank work together to reduce dependence on shore-side infrastructure.
The yacht's profile reflects the same thinking that underpins its systems. Sculpted surfaces and a sleek silhouette give the FPY 70S a presence that reads as both purposeful and serene, while eco-navigation technology signals Fountaine Pajot's ongoing investment in sustainable luxury. Energy management runs quietly in the background, with air conditioning, lighting, the spa and entertainment systems all integrated into a seamless whole that delivers comfort without excess.
Practical features are woven through every part of the design. The beach club incorporates a hydraulic platform and generous storage for water toys, while the various lounge areas are positioned to make the most of the horizon in every direction. The result is a yacht that treats the ocean not as a backdrop but as the central attraction.
The FPY 70S is scheduled to make its global debut at international yacht shows from September 2026. Production slots for early 2027 delivery are already open, and prospective buyers can arrange private appointments to visit the Fountaine Pajot facility in La Rochelle to see the build in progress and speak directly with the construction team.
