Fliteboard RACE hits 30 knots with Mercury Racing impeller and competitive app features

The partnership between Flite and Mercury Racing has produced what may be the most uncompromising eFoil either company has put its name to. Unveiled at CES 2026 in Las Vegas, the Fliteboard RACE sets its sights firmly on speed, competition, and riders who have long outgrown anything designed with beginners in mind.

A custom Mercury Racing impeller sits at the core of the machine, engineered to deliver harder, faster spin and push the board to a claimed top speed of 34mph, or 30 knots. In the context of electric foiling, that number commands attention.

The RACE also breaks new ground within the Fliteboard lineup by becoming the first model to run FLITELab surf foiling wings, drawing on the new Flux range. Riders can choose from three wing sizes depending on whether a given session calls for greater stability or sharper, more demanding control. The setup is deliberately calibrated to reward those willing to push it rather than to smooth over the consequences of caution.

Its physical form carries the same intent. A longer, narrower profile sharpens both takeoff and touchdown response, while a raised mast keeps handling predictable even at the upper reaches of its speed range. Carbon Innegra accents and aerodynamic lines drawn from motorsport give the board a visual language that matches what it is built to do.

The performance philosophy extends into Flite's digital ecosystem as well. Planned updates to the Flite App will bring G force and lean angle data to riders, and a new global leaderboard called APEX 250 will give competitive eFoilers a structured benchmark to chase. The format is a 250 metre out and back sprint, designed to measure both outright speed and precision.

The RACE and the platform developments surrounding it point to a clear direction from Flite and Mercury Racing. Electric foiling as a competitive discipline is moving quickly, and this collaboration places both brands at the front of that push.
