Shanghai Fareast Co. Ltd has signed a three-year global partnership with World Sailing, becoming an official Development Partner through to 2029.

Under the agreement, the marine manufacturer will supply boats and equipment to support World Sailing's international events, development projects, and grassroots growth initiatives. It is a value-in-kind arrangement, with hardware directed into programmes aimed at expanding access to the sport, particularly in emerging sailing nations.

World Sailing President Quanhai Li welcomed the deal. "We are thrilled to welcome FarEast to the World Sailing family. Their generous value-in-kind commitment over the next three years is a testament to their dedication to the sport and to the global sailing community," he said, adding that the equipment would be "instrumental in driving our development programmes forward, particularly in emerging sailing nations, and ensuring our events continue to meet the highest standards of the sport."

The partnership is not limited to competitors on the water. Race officials are also flagged as beneficiaries, a detail that signals a broader ambition: the supplied fleet is intended to lift event delivery standards as much as sailor development.

Ms. Demolar Du, President of Shanghai Fareast Co. Ltd, spoke to the manufacturer's motivation. "We believe that the future of sailing relies on robust support systems and access to high-quality hardware, and through this partnership, we are honored to support World Sailing by contributing our boats and sharing our expertise to development programmes that help broaden access to sailing and support the next generation of sailors."

The supplied fleet will be deployed across several key World Sailing properties and programmes. Specifics on event activations and regional allocations are expected in the coming months.
