Ekolns Segelklubb has won the third round of the Swedish J/70 Sailing League. The club took out the Lugnvik regatta hosted by Örnsköldsviks Segelsällskap.
Eighteen teams contested a nine-race series before the top six qualified for a single-race finale to settle the placings.
Ekolns Segelklubb finished on 4 points to take the win. Kungl Svenska Segel Sällskapet was second on 5 points, with Göteborgs Kungl Segelsällskap third on 6. Segelsällskapet Åmålsviken placed fourth on 7 points, and Halmstads Segelsällskap rounded out the top five with 9 points.
The result at Lugnvik has drawn the overall season standings much tighter.
With three of the four regattas now sailed, at Kalmar, Långedrag and Örnsköldsvik, the title fight heads to Ekerö.
GKSS, the Royal Gothenburg Yacht Club, leads on 10 points from sixth, first and third across the series. KSSS, the Royal Swedish Yacht Club, sits second on 12 points after finishing fifth, fifth and second. Halmstads Segelsällskap is third overall on 14 points, having posted seventh, second and fifth.
Four points separate the top three heading into the finale, with KSSS just two points behind GKSS.
