Germany's Simon Diesch and Anna Markfort claimed victory at Kieler Woche, dominating the 470 fleet across a regatta that tested competitors with persistent light air and frequent, unstable shifts.
Racing got underway a day late after the opening Saturday produced insufficient wind to sail. Nine races were completed over the following days, though the scheduled medal races on the final day were abandoned when the breeze again failed to fill in, leaving the series standings as the final result.
Diesch and Markfort, both Olympic campaigners, led from the front throughout. Their nearest challengers, Malte Winkel and Bente Bätzner, pushed hard across the series and finished just two points adrift in second.
Third place went to Theresa Löffler and Christopher Hoerr, who moved onto the podium after Tuesday's racing and narrowly held off the Swedish sibling pairing of Hedvig and Hugo Liljegren in a tight battle for the final podium spot.
